VERY IMPORTANT:

Before I start, I have to inform you that whenever me and Dave go out to eat anywhere, I always order something better, according to me. My meals or desserts always look so much better than whatever he orders and I always feel so sorry for him that he always gets the worse thing. He tries to say he doesn't care but I know he is secretly jealous everytime. He has to be.

Okay so Dave & I were up in Seattle for the day for a job interview.
Before we headed home we stopped by DairyQueen to get Dave a little treat since he did so well :)
I wasn't feeling like anything so I told him to get whatever he wanted and I would just take a couple bites.
So he ordered a reeses blizzard (yuck) and I saw on the menu they had a BANANA CREAM PIE blizzard. I told him he should get that instead but he wouldn't change his mind.
So I ordered a small cause it just sounded so good even though I didn't feel like ice cream.
When we were waiting in the drive-thru line I was regretting my decision, thinking I should have gone with cookie dough because I know I love that and I was a little hesitant about trying something new.
I told Dave to back up so we could go through the drive through again and change my order but it was too late. We drove up to the window and my Banana cream pie blizzard was already made.
Right after seeing it though, I wasn't too worried anymore, as mine looked way more delicious than Daves, as always, with whipped cream swirled on top and a tall clear lid rather than the usual flat soft drink lids.
I took my first bite and I was in heaven.
It was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted in my life.
Words can't even describe it, although I was going on and on and on about it to Dave from the first bite to the last, trying to describe its deliciousness.
So delicious I am even updating my blog that I have ignored for the past who knows how long, just to let whoever is looking know, they are amazing!

Seriously. Go get one now. It doesnt matter if you dont like Banana Cream Pie. It doesn't matter if you don't like bananas. It doesnt matter if you dont like cream. It doesnt matter if you dont like pie. It doesnt matter if you dont like ice cream. It doesnt matter if you are severely allergic to any of the ingredients.
Risk your life.
It's worth it.

The End.

What we've been doing since...

we officially exited the "Newlywed Stage"
(Only according to ABC's 'Here Come the Newlyweds' show, which I tried to apply to be on, but had a very small window that we were eligible. You had to be married under 2 years, but be over 21...and there was only a 3 week period between the time I turned 21 and our 2 year anniversary :( I was sad, but regardless of the shows rules, I still feel like we are newlyweds so until the feeling goes away, I'm going to live in our little love lala land)

Okay that was random.

Here's a quick picture update of whats been going on:

one night this summer i was so bored, more bored than i have ever felt in my whole life and i was rolling on the floor thinking i was going to die.
So me and Dave went miniature golfing :)
And I didn't win.

Trying out VOODOO Doughnuts for the first time (i LOVE pink bakery boxes)
They were definitely unique, but delicious.
I just had to try to get the mental picture of the girls long hairy armpits that sold us the doughnuts while eating them.
That's Portland for you :)

For my birthday my sister got me a sushi making set, so we took it out and gave it a try! It was actually way easier than I thought it would be (except we need like a special sushi knife I think, do they make those?)
My beautiful art. We were to chicken to make our own with raw fish, because thats too scary. So we stuck with the vegetarian and it was DELICIOUS.

Our First Annual Shopping trip/ Lunch with the girls - Thanks Dad :)
(I named it that so when my dad reads this he gets the hint that he should let us do this every year)

The Beautiful flowers dave brought home for me that looked really pretty, but smelled like smoke and made my eye puff up.

Halloween! We were Fred & Wilma Flintstone, and I'm proud to say I made these costumes ALL by myself from scratch.
I have no idea how to sew on a sewing machine, and am too impatient to learn.
So these are made with yarn and fabric glue.
I'm excited to one day have a big closet full of all of our costumes :)

It was cute little Oakleys First birthday on Halloween! So of course her parents threw her a costume party.
She was a cute little Kitty

Enjoying her cake! Pure SUGAR for the first time :)

She is SO cute and so funny, we LOVE her so much and dream of having our own every day.....

Looks like that's it with the pictures.
As far as life goes, we are currently in the middle of some hopefully big changes!

I count the minutes until something happens for us because, well.....
I have time to literally count the minutes.
I'm not working right now.
We moved in with my parents last week in hopes to save up some $/pay off some debt.
And I feel like an 80 year old lady because I lay around so much.
I seriously need a life QUICK.

So although this definitely isn't a HIGH point in our lives, there is really nothing to complain about, and we are thankful for that :)

The END.

2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY :)

So its been almost a month but I couldn't skip over our 2 Year Anniversary :)
First off, I can't believe how fast time is flying by...2 years is a long time!

I am so so thankful that I married Dave. These past two years have been the best of my life and I love knowing we have forever together.
We have had more fun together than I ever imagined, experienced things together that I never expected, learned lessons about life that I didn't know would come so soon, and most importantly spent each day growing more in love with eachother.

Dave is the most patient, loving, genuinely kind, sincere person in the world....
AND HE'S ALL MINE :)

I am so lucky.

I am so lucky I get to experience LIFE with him. We have some crazy plans for our future, plans that will put me completely out of my comfort zone and scare me to death, but its OKAY because I get to be with Dave no matter where we go or what we do in life.

That's why being married is the best :)

To celebrate our anniversary we took a week and went down to where Dave proposed, my favorite place in the world, The Happiest Place on Earth:

DISNEYLAND:)

We had so much fun and completely exhausted ourselves and made such fun memories. We took about a million and half pictures, so I just picked a few. Okay maybe more than a few...

It was so nice to spend a whole week together!

We now have a lot of exciting things happening for the both of us,
but we are trying to be patient and enjoy everyday that we have together.
We are going to be moving in with my parents in November when our lease is up at our apartment, because Dave should be leaving for his new job training shortly after that.

His 5 MONTH LONG job training...1,629 miles away.

It obviously hasn't hit me yet. We're trying to stay positive. It will be kind of a unique experience that not many married couples experience, and although it will be hard, I think it will make us appreciate and love the other so much more.

But when the time comes I'm sure we will forget that and it will be horrible :(

That is all from me tonight!

Summer 2009

I have SO MUCH to catch up on!
Summer so far has been super fun for us (even though summers as an adult are way less fun since you have to spend the majority of it working :( ) BUT we have managed to still find time to do some fun things!!
If I wrote in detail about everything, it would take me forever, so to make it QUICK:

We went hiking up at Multnomah Falls, its so gorgeous but seriously, I was dying :( You don't realize just HOW out of shape you are until you do something like that (that shouldnt be too difficult because there were old people hiking uphill WHILE smoking at the same time) but we both definitely felt it the next day...and the next day.

Dave proudly wearing my pink backpack from my freshman year of high school :) It was the only one we could find!

Me- already tired. Poor dave, I complained the whole way up, wondering why in the world we had CHOSEN to do this!

It really wasn't THAT bad though, and it was so so gorgeous! We made it all the way to the tip top of the waterfall, found a big rock to sit on, had lunch and then came down.

We've also been able to spend some time with our cute neice Oakley. She seriously gets cuter and cuter every day and we love her so much! We want one SO BAD, RIGHT NOW, but being in the middle of a career change for Dave knowing he will be gone for a while doesn't really make it the ideal time. We just love her and even though she tends to save everything in her stomach so she can dump it on me when I told her, we just can't get enough of her!

We are probably the funnest babysitters ever. Playing music, singing songs, bubbles, how could we be MORE fun?

We were sitting outside and everytime she would hear a car she would stop whatever she was doing and watch it and turn her head as far as it would go until she couldnt see it anymore. It was so cute, she looks like a little bobble head in this picture, big head, little body :)

NO MORE PICTURES.

We've been able to spend a lot of time with my whole family this summer! It is so fun having all of my siblings and their husbands live here, so we have lots of family get togethers. It is definitely the one thing we will be so sad about when it comes time to move. We went bowling with everyone & had so much fun!

Oakleys First time Bowling!

Daves AMAZING game. Can you see his score???
5 strikes, 4 spares, Score of 200 = AMAZING

4th of July was super fun this year as well. I spent the whole morning at a park doing another memorial/ fundraiser booth for Maddie, and then we spent the afternoon with my family! We had a bbq and even though this year they didnt do the big annual firework show, a lot of my parents neighbors put on a pretty good show!

Me & Max :)

I can't believe how BIG he is. I've been taking care of him since he was 6 months old! Its so weird to think he is almost as old as Maddie when she passed away, he's grown up SO much but it cracks me up because since as long as I can remember hes been obsessed with spiderman and sharks. Note the face paint and balloon he turned into a shark.

Crazy lady Oakley :)

We spent a little TOO long trying to catch good pictures with fireworks in the background. This is the best one I caught of jenny and Cam, Jenny looks a little too happy, but there IS a firework in the background and that was the goal.

Every once in a while on the weekend we like to go down to a park pretty close to where we live and just.......be there. Its so pretty and fun, its right downtown and they have a whole little saturdays market with weird stuff to buy and yummy food, and every friday night they show a movie on a big inflatable screen right in the park!

We got yummy doughnuts that were good, but I was a little disappointed because I had heard them talked about so much, but they ended up being just doughnuts. Doughnuts are good though :)

Another fun outing we had with my family was going to the beach for a day. It was supposed to be a really nice day according to weather.com but it ended up being pretty cloudy. Thats kind of what you have to expect when you go to the Oregon Coast, there are probably only 5 days out of the year that aren't overcast....but it was still so fun! We went around to all the little shops, went out to lunch, watched a parade, and spent a little time on the beach :)

On our way to get me some new sunglasses, thinking I would need them.

Playing around in the hat store

serious face.

The family at lunch my dad treated us to (minus Leslie and Tareak who ate somewhere else because they had their dogs with them)

And then my dad got us all ice cream cones :) Despite the cold weather, if my dads buying, we will all gladly accept anything :)

Oakley looking good in Pink!

Cute little Family :)

Hanging out on the beach

On July 15th was Daves 27th Birthday!! He is so SO old, its so weird. We had such a fun day though. It started out with me throwing up all morning, lovely I know :) then I had to go to work for 1/2 day......and then when I got home we were able to celebrate! He just wanted to relax by the pool during the day, which was just fine with me :).
We went to a really cool Moroccan Restaurant in Portland that night and it was so crazy! Way different than anywhere we had ever been, we had to sit on pillows and eat with our hands, there were supposed to be belly dancers too but they didnt come out while we were there. I was going to tell the restaurant it was his birthday but then I realized at a place like that they would probably have the belly dancers give Dave some special belly dancing lap dance, and that would have just ruined his birthday because I would have attacked the dancers and probably end up in jail.

I decorated for Daves birthday and put all the reasons I love him on each balloon. I wanted to use 27 balloons but by the time I got to number 19, I couldnt think of anymore reasons.
hahaha just kidding. actually by the time I got to 19 I realized there were only 20 in the bag, so I had to cram a lot of words onto a balloon :)

Birthday boy right after waking up!

Yes, he seriously asked for these.

At the Restaurant drinking his soup...

I dont know what that is, but it was good :)

My yummy honey chicken, and Dave had a big hunk of lamb.

Out for Gelatos after dinner!
YUM we love this stuff.

While we were getting Gelatos, we got a parking ticket :(
Kind of a bummer on Daves birthday. BUT when Dave called to pay it the next day, the nice lady told him since it was his birthday they would void it! how nice huh?

Trying on our matching shirts from Daves parents, I was trying to show the back, didnt work out so well. But thats okay because my hair is FINALLY GROWING! yay :)

We somehow survived yet another GROSS PERIOD in our marriage. Daves birthday is a couple weeks before mine so during that time in between our birthdays, he is SEVEN YEARS older than me and it just doesnt seem right. I know I know 6 years is probably pushing it, but it seems acceptable because both my sisters are 6 years younger than their husbands. but SEVEN??
Needless to say, its always a huge relief for both of us when my birthday finally rolls around!

This year for me was the BIG 21, and it was such a fun day :)
Me and Dave both had work off for the day, so we started the morning by going to breakfast. The whole afternoon was spent by the pool in the amazing 100 degree weather :)
That night we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, and loved every single second of it. That place is SO good, I order the same thing everytime and it makes a super yummy left over lunch for the next day. And I got to enjoy my cheesecake for I think like 4 days. Its sooo rich and good I like to make it last as long as I can!
That night we went over to my parents with the rest of my family to watch the Bachelorette Season Finale! I was actually happy about this one, I think Jillian and Ed are super cute together :)
This is what I woke up to :) Dave was up all night, he literally got like 4 hours of sleep because he was busy decorating, baking, wrapping...he is such a sweetheart!

Ready to go to breakfast!

at the pool...

we got the PERFECT parking spot :)

waiting waiting waiting...

As always, worth the wait :)

The rest of this last week was HOT! We had record breaking temperatures all week, it was sad being stuck inside and office all day :(

Look at the temperature! I caught it just in time, about 10 seconds later it went down to 106

And a couple more exciting things! Dave is moving right along in the hiring process for his new job and its actually going a lot faster now than we expected! At this rate we are planning on him being gone (at a 5 month training) by the end of the year...its coming up quick!
I also finally quit my wretched job! I still have a month left there, but I already feel SO much better! I have wanted to get out of this job for a long time now, for a lot of reasons, but I needed to find a new job first.
Well.....that was taking to long, so I decided I am going to teach Dave how to have more faith and we are doing things the other way around! I'm hoping to find a job as a nanny again soon, so wish me luck!
Thats about all...we're now just getting super excited for our Disneyland trip coming up in 2 weeks for our 2 year anniversary!!!! I am SO EXCITED!

The Warm Weather FINALLY came :)

Summer is finally here! Well, I guess not officially for another month, BUT we've been getting some warm weather and we are LOVING it...makes us dream of the days we'll be living it it year round, which will hopefully be sooner than later. We enjoyed the sun a little too much yesterday, and are now little lobsters stuck inside :/

Anyways, life for us has been so good for us lately.
We are super duper in love and loving being in love.
We seriously say it about 100 times a day (not exaggerating at ALL, I'm probably way low).
I even told Dave the other day we should probably talk about something else other than how in love we are...but my manly man didn't like the idea.
I guess there's nothing wrong with it, were creeping up on 2 YEARS of being married (crazy!) and I'm loving the fact that it gets better and better everyday.
At this rate we are going to die of like major LOVE heart attacks by the time we are 50.

Anyways, onto what we've been up to lately...

Last week, maybe it was 2 weeks ago, went to the Oregon Zoo for an afternoon. Dave had never been and I hadnt been in a few years and it was a beautiful day out!

Okay this Orangutan (i used spell check but im pretty sure i could have spelled it better)
was my most favorite guy at the zoo.
I fell in LOVE. I wanted to stay with him the whole day but Dave made me get away from the window because other people were waiting to see.
Oh my gosh. Just look at him. He was so sad, and he was all alone. Can't you just tell he's thinking "my life sucks. I'm locked up. I'm alone. And I have the ugliest haircut ever and the color totally clashes with my skin tone."
I just wanted to take him home and hug him and tell him everything is gonna be okay.
When I was right up by the window he even looked me right in the eye with the saddest look.
Writing about it is making all the emotions come back and i want to cry again ahhhhhh.
Okay these little guys were SO funny. oh my gosh, I dont know what kind of monkey they were, but they were so cute. You cant tell very well by the picture, but one of them was picking through the others hair, like very thoroughly and concentrated while the other one just sat there. After a while the one being inspected would get irritated and try to hit the other and they would fight, and then all of a sudden they would freeze and the picking would begin again. It was so funny to watch, I was narrarating the whole thing for Dave telling him it was like us when I find some weird hair in a weird place on his body hahaaa.
Me with the ZEBRA. I love zebras. I actually dont care for the animal because its like a horse and I dont like horses. But I want a zebra rug.

Me & Dave sharing a big elephant ear :)

For Memorial Day weekend, we decided to get away for a much needed mini-vacation. My dad laughs when I say I NEED a vacation, like I'm so ridiculous and people dont NEED vacations.
I DO.
I need one like every other week.

We headed down to the beach and stayed at a super cute little place right on the beach. We had the most amazing view & the weather was beautiful.
It was like a dream waking up in the place...

Our big jetted tub with the ocean view...AMAZING.

We went to a pizza place for dinner the first night and it was the craziest little hippie place ever with these big scary motorcyle guys working there. Every square inch of the walls were covered in customers signing their names or writing just about anything.

I wanted to leave out mark, so I found a kind of open spot right by the bathroom :)

THIS was our view. We loved it! It was so nice to get away and be able to spend a few days STRAIGHT together without the horrible adult things like work getting in the way :)

This last Thursday was a very special day :)
My whole family went to the Temple Thursday evening to do baptisms, and I was finally able to get baptized for Maddie :) (I wrote a post HERE about her)
I had been waiting for this day since the day she passed away, but had to wait a year to do it, and then it took me a long time to get up the nerve to ask her families permission.

It was such an amazing experience. I had been hoping that I would be able to feel that she was there, and Maddie, in her own crazy Maddie way DEFINITELY let me know she was there :)
It was so comforting to be able to do that for her, and I love knowing she is still the same little Maddie!

Lastly, a couple nights ago Dave and I went down to the Portland Rose Festival for the night.
We love going to carnival type things with all the yummy food & treats, games and rides, and all the crazy people you see :)

And look at this crazy HUGE elephant ear!!! Look at the normal size plates next to it.
I wanted to get one just so I could say that I did :) but there is no way we would have been able to eat that by ourselves.
It was a real DAD ELEPHANT size ear.
yummy strawberry shortcake :)

Thats all!
Who knows when the next post will be, we have nothing planned for the next little while.
And we look like lobsters.

Okay wow.

So...it's been awhile :)
We kind of fell off the face of the blogging world for a while, but we've been doing good and we're back! I have so much to catch up on I think I will try to do it in mostly pictures and a few words so this post doesn't take 3 days to look at.

(As an excuse for not blogging in 4 months, does anyone else feel like this year has FLOWN by? Next week it's going to MAY! Seriously time is going by so fast its hard to blog.)

In the middle of January Dave & I were able to fly down to Utah for a week to visit friends and family we hadn't seen in way too long!

All my old roomates & I @ Dinner...it was so fun catching up with them and seeing how everyones lives are changing! We had so much fun when we were all living together, I have some of my best memories with them and even though I'll probably never live close to any of them I know they will be friends I'll keep in touch with forever!!
And congrats to Katie (bottom left corner) who is engaged!!! I know I was supposed to keep it a secret, but that was back in January...I'm assuming the word is out by now??? And if not, who reads this anyways? She's marrying her high school sweetheart who just got home from his mission last year, they are super cute together and I cant wait to see their babies!!!!!!! He's black (that sounds racist to point that out) BUT thats why their babies will be SO cute oh my gosh.

Anyways, it was a great night with the girls and Dave was able to have a guys night visiting different friends of his down in Utah.

The next day we drove down to Escalante where we spent most of our trip with all of Daves Family. It was SO nice to have a vacation and even though Escalante is still major culture shock for me, it has a very simple relaxing feel to it which was much needed.

Some of our cute neices Hope, Emrie & Annabelle!

Emilee's new baby boy Tyken who was only about a week old when we saw him! I gave him Rockstar Hair :)

This is Cecil, I believe he was named by Mike & Dan (Daves Brothers). I love his hair.
Sadly, we got word yesterday that he is now dead.
Dave was in the bathroom and he got a text. I don't normally just read his texts when he gets them but for some reason this one I did and I immediately regretted it. It was from Daves little brother Dan and it said "I just killed Cecil".
I just started screaming and Dave ran in asking what was wrong, and lets just say it was a pretty emotional time. Even though I never actually met him because I didnt want to go out by the chickens because it was muddy, I did watch him from the window, and I know he was super special.
R.I.P Cecil.

This is a house Daves dad was working on while we were down there. I fell in love, its so crazy looking and modern/artsy.

The whole family together. Take note of Dan (The youngest in the family). He makes me and Dave look like tiny people! I guess thats what happens when you're a 12 lb. baby.

Me & tyken cuddling :)

So I probably should have mentioned our reason for going to Utah (besides the fact that it was long overdue) Mike (Daves little brother) had his mission farewell! He's in Vera Cruz, Mexico. This was us up in provo getting some of his last minute shopping done!

Visiting with Daves grandparents (Karens parents)

Some of the brothers together :) Aren't they just good looking guys?

Taking Mike to to MTC! He was looking a little nervous but now that its been 4 months, I can report that he survived the MTC, had been in Mexico for almost a month, and absolutely loves it! We love getting his letters/e-mails and hearing about his experiences down there. We can already tell he will be, and already is, an awesome missionary.

The group at the MTC. I had never been to the MTC before so it was an exciting experience. Watching the video and listening to the talks made me want to go on a mission! Ha...I'm definintely glad I didnt though because Dave would be snatched up for sure and then I would be this lonely sad lady. Now we get to look forward to 30 years down the road when we can serve together!

On our way to the airport! The week went by way too fast, but we were so glad we were able to see everyone, and see Mike one last time for the next 2 years!

ummmmmmm so Dave likes puzzles. I tried to get him some hard ones for Christmas and this is the first/ only one he has completed. He;s super excited about it if you cant tell.

Valentines Day Chocolate covered strawberries! YUM we had a fun valentines day together:) We went to the Cheesecake factory for dinner and had a 3 hour wait. IT wasnt bad though, its not like we were in a rush (well except that we were hungry) but luckily it was in a mall so we were able to walk around and then we spent about an hour in the Sleep Number Mattress Store, testing out all the beds.
It was fun and now I want one, but they are SO expensive. I would rather buy something cooler than a mattress.

We are fans of The Bachelor. Well I am a fan, and Dave willingly watches it with me. This year, for THE MOST DRAMATIC FINALE EVER, we had a little party at my parents house with my sisters and brother in laws. I think thats supposed to be Brothers in law, but it sounds so weird to me I would rather be incorrect than sound weird. Anyways, yes, I brought roses for our own rose ceremony.

Dude scoping out who he thinks should get the final rose...

The husbands only were to give a rose to their wives if they felt they deserved one. Luckily, they all have brains and knew if they didnt give us one they would be in trouble, so we all got roses. Theres Dave asking me if I would accept this rose. YAY

Okay, so some pretty exciting things have been happening for us lately! Dave has been looking into a different job for a while and applied in February. In March he had the big test that apparently only 40% of applicants pass. And Dave passed with a 98%! HES SO AMAZING. (The picture above is the letter saying he passed with his test score)
I've been kind of confused about how to blog about it because I'm super excited about it and I want to keep everyone updated, BUT I'm also insane. (Hence the message on his letter, from me.)
I'm super paranoid and kind of crazy, so because of the nature of the job, I dont want anything on the internet anywhere about it. He actually had one of the final steps of the hiring process done today, and of course did amazing :) Now its just a long waiting game!
We will definitely be moving somewhere, we dont know where, but its gonna be HOT and we are going to be TAN therefore, we will be HOT.
wow I think ive been doing this for too long.
The test that Dave took and did amazing on was up in Seattle, so my little sister Emily came up with me and we shopped while he took his test. And we ate giant pizza. This peice was way bigger in real life, we tried to take it at an angle that showed its true size, but obviously we failed.

The very thought of this pizza makes me want to throw up. It was good at the time but it had so much cheese and just ugh, seriosuly I cant go on. EW.

This is the most random post. hahaa okay, so our ward had a Cultural Night potluck thing so everyone brought really good food from all over. People were also able to sign up to preform anything from a different culture, so Dave signed up to read a Scottish Poem and went all out by wearing his kilt. This was the first time I had ever seen him in it....Super Delicious.

Tulips are my new favorite flower, for now at least. I came home one day to find these waiting for me :) Aren't they so pretty? Dave is the sweetest thing.

This is us at the Blazers/Jazz game.....not to exciting of a picture, or game. It would have been better if I got the guy next to me in the picture. HE was a drunk lumberjack man who was HUGE and had long fingernails and kept buying beer. It made for an interesting night of me clinging to daves side. Notice daves pocket. He was just trying to fit in.

Dave is super sweet. Have I mentioned that yet? He surprised me, well kind of (Hes really bad at keeping surprises, surprises. He gets too excited and tells me) But it was still super exciting. I had never been to a broadway show before, but have always wanted to, and WICKED came to portland! We had looked into getting tickets but they were too expensive so I forgot about it. Im so glad he decided to get some anyways because it was such a fun night and the show was amazing!
This was the only picture I got of us, I got in trouble kind of as I was taking it by one of the usher guys at the show. I guess no cameras?

About 2 weeks ago Daves Parents and brother Dan were able to come up for a few days and visit! They hadnt been up here since we'd been married so it was fun to have them up to see our new little lives in Washington and show them around. PS my stomach still hurts from that pizza picture. Anyways, on the first night we took them to our favorite place to eat, this sushi bar in portland thats about 3 minutes away from our house. We LOVE this place and They had never had sushi so they were daring and came along, and ended up loving it :) That, or they were really good at faking it :)

The next morning we drove up to Port Angeles, WA and took the Ferry over to Victoria BC. Daves family had never been to Canada and Victoria is so close and so pretty, we thought it would be a fun mini trip! This us on the ferry getting close to the island....I dont know why my eyes are closed I dont even think there was a flash.

Karen & Reed at one of the many meals they treated us to up there!!! It was so much fun spending time with them and being there little tour guides through the city.

We only stayed in Victoria one night, got back late Saturday night, they came to Church with us on Easter and then we had to take them straight to the airport :( It really was a super quick trip, but we were glad we were able to see them again and cram a lot of fun into the weekend!

Last but not least, this past weekend one of my best friends Shauna got married!!!

On Thursday was her bridal shower and it was fun visiting with everyone and seeing all the fun presents she got! I am so so excited for her. We have known eachother forever, litterally. Our moms have been friends since they were pregnant with us so we've been friends since day 1. I have some really ugly old pictures of us, I wish they were on the computer so I could post some!
Anyways, her wedding day was BEAUTIFUL. Its kind of risky getting married in April in Portland, you're most likely going to have a rainy day! But they got super lucky and had a beautiful day in the 70's!
The Portland Temple
The sealing was beautiful, me and Dave both agreed it was one of the best we've been to. Everything that was said was so perfect and I was glad me and Dave were able to be there with them :)

Bridesmaids waiting for the newlyweds to come out of the temple!

Shauna & Steve!! They are so cute I cant get over it, and they were both just glowing all day!

All the girls :)

Between the sealing & the reception, Dave & I had lunch with my good friend Haley and her huasband Adam! They will have been married a year next month and it seems like just yesterday! I'm loving having all these married friends :) I remember when Dave and I first got married I was dying for one of my friends to follow, and it didnt take long, now almost all of us are married!!

Christmas, Wedding, New Years & Babysitting :)

We had a White christmas :) I have never had a white christmas before, snow like this is very rare up here!!! We had a huge snowstorm that lasted a week, and Christmas day it continued to snow huge pretty snowflakes :) It was a miracle!

I had been really excited that I had got the whole week off work because of the snow storm, but as luck would have it I ended up with the flu. I got excited and thought it was the 24 hour bug, but no...I was sick for 6 days! Including Christmas :( It made Christmas kind of sad because I wasn't able to enjoy anything as much, especially the food :(. Dave completely spoiled me though and we had a wonderful Christmas with my family! I'm still like a little kid and cant sleep on christmas eve, but this year I felt so sick all I wanted to do was sleep so I drugged myself and got the best nights christmas eve sleep I think I've ever gotten.

My brother Matthew with Oakley in her cute little Mrs. Claus dress :)

Dave & Emily working on one of the puzzles I got him. He's kind of weird and likes puzzles a lot, so I tried to get him the hardest puzzles in THE WORLD.

Me & Emily in our SNUGGIES from Dave. These things are amazing... I saw the infomercial a while ago, and I know, they look kind of cheesy but they are the greatest invention ever. You know when you're cold and laying on the couch and you have to awkwardly poke the top of your hand out of the blanket to hold the remote and change the channel? The snuggie totally solves that problem :) We are modeling the sleeves AND pockets in this picture.

A few days after christmas one of my good friends Courtney got married! I always get so excited when another one of my friends get married because for a little while I was the only one. They had a beautiful sealing and reception later that night!

Our traditional picture that we get at everyones weddings Hugging :)

Us with Shauna and Steve, the next couple to get married!!! We are so excited for them and totally LOVE Steve....he's perfect for shauna and they are SO cute together :)

Baby Oakley on New Years Eve

All the Yummy food at my families BINGO party :) We do this every year and its so much fun...luckily I was better by New Years so I was able to enjoy all the food :)

My first BINGO of the night, with many many more to follow. My Dad likes to be nice every once in a while and let everyone win, so we go until everyone has gotten a prize, kind of pathetic but hey, you still get a prize.

Getting late....as you can tell

New Years Kiss...I kind of missed. I took a bunch more better ones after but this is the REAL midnight kiss.

The other night Jenny & Cam needed a night out so we gladly babysat Oakley for them. She is still kind of in the boring stage where she doesn't really interact a lot, all she likes to do is bounce and shake a lot. BUT she is so cute we just love being around her and shes making us want one so bad!

And Jenny baked us a really fat pizza for babysitting and it fed us for a couple days :)

We are at the airport right now about to board to go to Utah, we are so excited to get away and see people we havent seen in so long! so....
THE END.

Oh wait, one more thing.

MARLEY & ME......is my new favorite movie. It is SO cute. I dont even like dogs but after seeing it we are totally getting a dog. We both HIGHLY reccomend it!

The end. Really.
